Highland Marina Resort has been
hosting major tournaments for over
30 years. These days, we host in
excess of 70 tournaments every year!
From the very first B.A.S.S.
tournaments in the late 70's,
Crappiethon's in the 80's, a host
of tournament trails over the years
including the Redman Tournament
Trail, FLW Stren and BFL events, HD
Marine, Crappie USA, Crappie
Masters, National Stripped Bass
Assn., and the Highland Marina Team
Trail to name just a few. Highland
Marina Resort is also the home of
the prestigious Georgia State
Championship which since 1987, has
been held here every year in
November.
In November of 2005,
our tournament facilities were
upgraded to make Highland Marina
Resort the premiere tournament
facility on West Point Lake. Today,
you'll find a professional elevated
and covered stage, a tournament
leader board, professional Doran
weigh-in scales with an SAI overhead
digital display, a high-output audio
system with wireless microphones,
and proprietary software for
tracking tournament weights.
There is also a concession stand
selling burgers, hotdogs, soda pop
and beer, a large public restroom
with separate handicap
facilities, and a tournament dock
directly behind the weigh in
