Bass Fishing |
|
Fishing as
been good this week. Fish are being caught
several different ways right now. I am still
throwing a 5" Yum Dinger in a silver shad
pattern and Zoom Salty super fluke in
pearl. I am fishing in 1-5ft of water around
red clay with rocks also also fishing the
grass in the backs of pockets. Right now
creek feed pockets are key in the morning
time to throw Pop-R's and Zara spooks but
also remember tofish the blow-downs and Rip
Rap in Yellow Jacket. |
Hybrids/Stripers |
|
Fishing is
great right now and the same pattern is
still working. Cut shad is working great
when the water gets muddy but as the water
clears up switch to live. I like to use
2-4inch threadfin for 90% of my bait but I
always have some big gizzards with me just
in case I get around the big stripers or
hybrids. Lately fish up to 8lbs are
common with most of the fish being 2-4lbs. |
Crappie |
|
Crappie
fishing is still really good here. Fish are
in shallow water lakewide. Good baits this
week has been a Black/Chart Tube Jig fished
under a cork about 9 inches. Throw the jig
out there and hop it back to the boat. Good
places to fish is the back of half-moon
creek, Yellow Jacket, White water and by
Mcgee Ramp. |
